Turn an animated GIF into JPG images—the first frame, a few or all of them. Transparent areas are filled with white or black, so the JPGs open, upload and print anywhere.

Common uses

When JPG beats PNG

When you don’t need transparency, JPG is usually the easiest choice.

Places that only take JPG

Plenty of forms, ID systems, shop dashboards and older apps only accept JPG. Convert one frame of the GIF and it uploads.

Stills from photo GIFs

GIFs made from real footage are full of color and detail; as JPGs their frames are much smaller than PNGs—better for posts and thumbnails.

Documents and print

Word, PowerPoint, print shops and photo printers handle JPG best, and the white fill means no black boxes where the GIF was transparent.

FAQ

GIF to JPG FAQ

Is this GIF to JPG converter free? Is there a watermark?

Yes—free and unlimited, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Will the JPG still move?

No. JPG can’t hold animation, so each GIF frame becomes its own JPG. To keep the motion in a small file, use GIF to MP4.

What happens to the GIF’s transparent background?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the color you choose—white by default, or black. To keep transparency, use GIF to PNG.

What JPG quality should I use?

The default of 92 shows no visible artifacts; drop to about 80 for smaller files. Cartoon stickers with text and sharp lines can get fuzzy edges in JPG, so PNG suits them better.

How do I convert just the first frame?

Tap “First only” and download to get one JPG. For another frame, tap its thumbnail, then “Download only frame N”.

Can I convert every frame at once?

Yes. All frames are selected by default and come as one ZIP with files numbered 001, 002 and so on—up to 600 frames.

Are the frames complete pictures?

Yes. Many GIFs store only what changed each frame; this tool rebuilds the full picture following the GIF’s rules before saving each JPG, so nothing is missing.

Is my GIF uploaded?

No. The GIF is decoded, rebuilt and exported in your browser, so it never leaves your device.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. In Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, tap Save and choose “Save Image” in the share sheet. If an in-app browser can’t save files, open the page in your phone’s browser.
